Suenos Steamroll Their Way to T.B.C. Boys FIBA East (8th) Title

The Suenos eighth graders took the T.B.C. Boys FIBA East Division tournament by storm, averaging a 21 point margin of victory while winning three-straight games to claim the crown.

In what would prove to be their closest game of the tournament, Suenos began its title run with an 18 point romp, 45-27, over Worcester United, Saturday afternoon. After an hour layoff, Suenos only looked stronger when they retook the court for the semi finals, taking down Elevation 45-20. Powered by a stifling defense throughout the tournament, Suenos’ D was suffocating in Sunday’s championship. Sueno’s held an OBF squad that had scored 59 and 60 points in its first to game, to just 30 points while putting up 50 at the offensive end to claim the title.
