Base Hoopz Captures T.B.C. ABA East Division Championship

Despite featuring several third graders who were playing up a grade, Base Hoopz offensive juggernaut took the T.B.C. ABA East Division (fourth grade) Tournament by storm, and claimed the league championship on Sunday. An impressive showing Saturday that saw them score 82 points over a pair of games -- a 41-5 win in the quarterfinals and 41-28 win in the semifinals -- punched Bases ticket to Sunday's championship. In the 9 a.m. tipoff against heavy-hitter Leominster Lions, Base's high-octane offense once again proved to be unstoppable, as the Base nearly matched it's scoring average from the previous day en route to a 40-26 win to claim the title.
